Karen’s grandparents made the caramel corn as an annual holiday treat, eventually becoming a family tradition. After her husband passed, Grandmother Marie found it hard to continue making the corn, so Karen asked if she could help carry on the tradition. Marie was thrilled! She mischievously responded, “Yes, but let’s keep it a family secret.” And true to this day, the Carmazzi family has kept it a secret. Grandma is somewhere laughing and proud.

Paul Jr. has an Agricultural Business degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo as well as a diverse background in the food processing industry. From the soil to your hands, he cares about the food you eat. Paul brings a passion for the environment, community, and growth that helps ensure the high quality and consistency of Carmazzi Caramel Corn. You can often find him laughing and singing in our kitchen, adding just a little bit more soul to our Lil’ Drops of Sunshine ™.
